A sound system of 5,5 x 4,5 m was installed in the exhibition space, plugged to the electric power lines of the Gallery, turned on, without an input signal. The intervention cut off the exhibition space through an hermetic gesture, precluding the audience from the supposed internal space behind the installation.

Confronted with this subtle action, the visitors of the exhibition, moreover, found themselves in a situation of permanent uncertainty as to whether the softly hissing sound system would turn into a deafening sound box in the next minute, using this latent threat and subliminal aggression as an equal response.

Originally from Japan with origins deeply rooted in dub and reggae culture, Killasan sound system is a mythical element of sound culture of Japan. A central element of the Wax Treatment events, which are organized in collaboration with Hard Wax.
